Notice of November 17, 2020 Virtual Public Hearing and 2019 Draft Consolidated Annual Performance and Evaluation Report (CAPER) 30-Day Public Comment Period

The Malden Redevelopment Authority (MRA) has completed a draft of the FY 2019-20 Consolidated Annual Performance and Evaluation Report (CAPER) and is making it available for public review and comment for 30 days – October 30, 2020 through November 30, 2020.  The CAPER describes how the CDBG and HOME grant funds were expended from July 1, 2019 to June 30, 2020, to carry out housing, homeless and community development objectives, strategies, and activities outlined in the City’s 2019 Annual Action Plan.


All written comments received will be included in the final CAPER sent to HUD along with the City’s responses.  Copies of the draft report are available at Printed copies are also available for public review by appointment from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Monday through Thursday at the MRA Office at 215 Pleasant Street, Third Floor, Malden, MA. A public hearing will also be held via Zoom on November 17, 2020 from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM.


Written comments may be submitted to Alex Pratt, Community Development Director, at the MRA Office, or emailed to Please include “CAPER” in the subject line. For consideration, comments must be received no later than November 30, 2020 at 12:00 noon.
