Public Hearing on Substantial Amendment to Consolidated Plan

In accordance with U.S. Dept. of Housing & Urban Development regulations, the City is required to advise residents about the progress of its current federal entitlement programs and seek input from residents.

The Malden Redevelopment Authority (MRA) is proposing a Substantial Amendment to 2016-2020 Consolidated Plan in conjunction with its FY 16-17 Annual Action Plan as follows:

$2,000,000 in additional Community Development Block Grant funds, in the form of a Section 108 loan, will be used to support the reconstruction of curbs, sidewalks, and repaving of streets and sidewalks in the following locations:

Lawrence St
Henry St.
Taylor St.
Wyeth St.
Rockwell Ter.
Ivy Rd.
Hanover St.


Public comments on this proposed amendment will be accepted for a period of thirty (30) days: October 25, 2016 – November 24, 2016. Written comments may be addressed to Nick Pernice, Director of Community Development, P.O.
